Walk-In-Selection: Bihar Govt Recruits 3100 Doctors Without Test Or Interview, Why?

The health apparatus in states like Bihar is said to be in shambles and the government claims that it is taking steps to make it better. But, in a hurry to make things look better, the state health department is set to recruit 3100 doctors through Bihar Technical Commission (BTC) but without having to appear in any test or interview.

Mangal Pandey, the health minister has defended the move and HT quoted him.

“From the time of cracking the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET) for admission to undergraduate medical or dental courses, an undergraduate medico has to qualify at least nine examinations in four-and-a-half years to become a doctor. Is that not enough?” the minister asked.
