During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that WWE is likely to give Big Cass a huge push after making his return Tuesday as a new member of SmackDown Live.
As teased on the show Tuesday, Cass is set to work a program with former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, and may even get a shot at WWE Champion AJ Styles down the road. Like on Tuesday’s show, Cass might also form a heel team with Shinsuke Nakamura in a program against Styles and Bryan.
“They’re obviously going to be doing something with him and he’s going to be wrestling Bryan and he’s going to be wrestling Styles as well,” Meltzer said.
In addition Meltzer’s partner, Bryan Alvarez, noted that Cass could also be paired with The Miz as a heel team in an angle against Bryan.
Cass was set up for a big push on Raw last summer after turning on his former tag team partner Enzo Amore, but suffered a knee injury just after the heel turn. He finally returned from knee ligament repair this week.
